![]() ![]() Lightning and Fire are the most important, followed by Cold and then Poison (Poison can be cured with Antidotes, and all Poison damage is dealt over time, so you have plenty of time to act). Life and Resistances are king in this game. ![]() The game doesn't really become "difficult" until at least later stages of Nightmare (might be earlier depending on your class/build choice), but it certainly doesn't give you obvious answers to problems. You will not brainlessly cruise through the game in a single go as a newbie, because of how the difficulty ramps up. Don't worry when you hit a wall, it happened to pretty much every one on their first play through. It's satisfying to push through and I highly recommend you keep going, once you kind of get an idea of how the game plays it will become easier to progress. Focus on leveling up the skills you want and the gear drops will come. You don't need to worry about online meta builds and all that nonsense. Sometimes you need to go back and farm an area you have already done to get better gear or level up a bit more. Are the monsters hitting with an elemental attack you have low resistance to? Are they immune to the elemental damage you are doing? etc. When you hit these walls you just need to take a look at what is stopping you from progressing. There are parts of the game where you will hit a wall, especially on your first play through. ![]() ![]() I think killing the countess in act 1 a couple of times should give you the gems you need to have the resistance you need. You can socket gems into gear that will give you + resistances.
